Sphinx rugs are constructed of two materials: polypropylene or wool, or a combination of the two. Polypropylene is strong and colorfast with a soft wool-like feel. Wool has excellent resistance to compression due to the physical nature of the wool fiber and is noted for its luxury and softness.

Care and Cleaning

Proper care and cleaning will prolong the life of the rug. We recommend regular vacuuming, any stray fibers should be cut even with the rug’s surface, never pulled. Clean spills and spots immediately. Never rub a spill always blot to prevent fraying of the yarns. Periodic professional cleaning is recommended.
